I went to a black tie event yesterday and a friend who manages one of the local cinema complex's was there. Last time I saw him I asked him if they had any spare Quantum of Solace movie posters. We went to his car in our tuxedos (very secret agent like) and he opened the trunk taking this out for me this:


Its a very nice poster finished in some higher quality paper then the standard ones.

I cant wait to put it up on my wall after getting it framed. They never used this poster (above) in the cinema's here, they used the standard one (below):

So I'm guessing the one I got was decided not be to used.

This was inspired by muttley's post about the dynamic he saw at his watchmakers. Ever since that post, something drew me to this watch, and after doing a local trade of my blue Oris tt1, I got a mint Omega Dynamic which will now take on the task of beater.

It's been hard getting used to the tiny 36mm size but when I put it on I don't want to take it off and I think that's a good sign, it's fighting my new Breitling for wrist time. Now I am waiting for a grey nato to put it on....

So here's the story...

I passed the Omega AD near my home (about 15 miles) yesterday, which is a small one that carries several other brands as well like Cartier and Mont Blanc (they're nice by the way) just to name a few...

Have visited them a couple of times in the past, last time to check out the Hour Vision, and have always been greeted by the older shop owner. Well yesterday I wanted to check out the blue SMP again, and was greeted by a nice lady. They don't have the automatic version in stock but they do have the quartz, as well as the Limited Bond Edition.

Best prices for this particular model can be found at the US, but a large Omega AD at Antwerp quoted me a great price a couple of weeks ago. Since I've decided not to travel to the US, I was planning to take their offer next time I'd go to Antwerp.

After some talking with the extremely nice lady, who turned out to be the daughter of the owner, she was able to offer me the same price as that other AD... How could I resist

Since she was able to give me a great deal, and she wasn't wearing a wedding ring, I offered to take her out for dinner... So tomorrow evening you won't be seeing me over here

Should have the watch by the end of next week, and will take pictures... Right now, I'm feeling like a kid who can't wait to open his Christmas present (I'm talking about the watch here )Mont Blanc Replica,

I've never used a safe or anything like that. Mind you the most I've ever had of expensive watches at any one time has been three. Beaters and non-runners do not count obviously. Heh, it would take a thief an eternity attempting to turn the place upside down in any event and they'll never find my watches anyway.

There is a typo in his announcement in that I'm sure where he says loaners, he actually means keepers
