Did you know there is currently a 39mm Day Date? A "Special Edition", available in several formats? I've never seen one...

Of course, the price ranges from $46K - 249K dollars (no that's not a typo, a 1/4 million dollars!! ), so I doubt it's something most stores would carry. They all seem to have at least diamonds on the dial too (which I'm not fond of to be honest). But jut thought it was curious as I'd never noticed these 39mm DD's before....


While probably not something I'd be interested in buying even if I had that kind of money to spend on a watch (a bit too much bling with 18K gold & diamond dials) anyone got any pictures of these?

Our 10th anniversary (which means diamonds) is in September and I hate to buy my wife $10k worth of jewelery that she would rarely wear so I have decided to get her a SS, jubilee, MOP, diamond dial datejust midsize.

I was going to ask the experts on this forum what the maximum discount I should shoot for is from an AD. Does anyone have a good percentage to shoot for knowing many AD's are reluctant to discount? I have a sub date and I expect to go back to the same AD to give him a shot but I wanted to have a number in mind before I went in.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm in the race again to buy a new Rolex in Jan this year. Since I just bought the SS GMTII Cermic bezel and a SS/Rose gold Datejust with steel face and Roman numerals in Dic. My New choices are: New Air King SS/18kt white gold fluted bezel/silver circular Dial with orange arabic numerals and a oyster brazelet OR a SS/18kt white gold fluted bezel Datejust with a steel/black dial with the alternate black(even) and red-orange(odd) dates and also inner bezel rolexrolexrol...engraving?????? Which of the two would be a better(in hstoric sense) Date does not matter that much to me.

Is the Sub 14060M still being made or was it discontinued?
I read somewhere that it was going to be sold till 2010?
If it was discontinued, when did that occur?

There is a little story that goes with these questions. In 1985 I was with my brother buying watches. He bought a Rolex no date and I bought a Tudor Prince Oyster because I wanted the date function. The Tudor was also 200 dollars cheaper and I knew nothing about watches and watch brands. Since then I have been kicking myself for not buying the Rolex. So if that watch is still available I might just buy the watch I should have bought almost 25 years ago.

As much as I love the 3 Oysters that I already have ...I am done ;-(
....If I will plunk down any money for a Rolex watch - it would be only vintage.
